I’m an architect most of the time. While I’m figuring the big picture stuff, I maintain for myself a loose framework of ethics, inclinations and curiosities within which i like to do whatever i do. I’m driven by a desire to observe more and observe differently, usually through the act of drawing, sometimes short animations, and recently writing - it’s been a way to slow down, observe, and rethink the things and events around me.
I have an inclination for an architecture of frugality—not just creating more with less but understanding what "less" means in its environmental, economic, social, and cultural sense, because those decisions deserve care and intention.
Obsessive about learning, I chase anything that helps me grow. Philosophers and their big questions intrigue me—there’s something about using their lenses to reflect on my own life that keeps me hooked. When I’m not reading (anything from philosophy, psychology, history or architecture), you’ll probably find me watching films- especially anything that presents a character that behaves and lives in peculiar ways that are at odds with the conventions - it helps to desire differently. I don’t have it all figured out, but I’m excited about the process of learning, building, and discovering what’s next.
